OVERVIEW
Propecia is approved by the FDA and is the #1 recommended hair loss medication.
HOW IT WORKS
Today, we now know that a specific hormone called dihydrotestosterone, or DHT, is a leading culprit in male pattern baldness. DHT is a naturally produced hormone that is made when an enzyme called 5α-reductase converts molecules of testosterone into molecules of DHT.
Propecia (finasteride) is a fairly potent inhibitor of 5α-reductase Type II. At a dosage of 1 mg per day, it blocks most of the production of DHT in the scalp (it has been shown to reduce the levels of DHT by about 50%). By blocking the 5α-reductase enzyme, DHT levels to drop, hair loss slows, then stops, and in most cases recently lost hair regrows.
SIDE EFFECTS
Side effects occur in less than 2% of patients, but include less desire for sex, weaker erections, and decreased semen count. Each of those side effects decreased to 0.3%, for men who continued on the treatment. Some men have also reported rash, itching, hives, and swelling.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO WORK
Propecia gradually regrows hair, and it may take up to 1 year to see full results.

WHY PROPECIA
Propecia grows thicker, natural hair (not “peach fuzz”). There are no creams or ointments. Customers take just one tablet daily, making it the easiest hair loss treatment available. Propecia is also the most effective hair loss treatment, which works by inhibiting the 5α-reductase Type II enzyme, blocking the transformation of testosterone into DHT in the scalp. Lower scalp DHT allows for thicker hair, and promotes the anagen phase (growth) of the hair life cycle over the telogen phase (resting).
WHERE TO BUY
